Loved friendly inviting atmosphere, high end food cafes, so picturesque along the esplanade. There was so much to do and so many choices for families especially The Pier walk and Aquarium. Good variety of shops and easy access! Loved Eat at the Bay Cafe and The Beach motel for amazing food!!

Hervey Bay is a nice relaxing place to visit for a few days, but I wouldn't stay there long term as it will get a bit boring after a while. Having said that, it makes a good base for visiting nearby towns such as Bundaberg.

Nice area but didnā€™t get to see everything as main reason for staying there was to do Fraser Island trip. The day tours was interesting and glad we went. Only downside was a lot of time is spent on the tour bus.

Hervey Bay was surprisingly big. This meant all the 'name' shops were represented so we could buy what we would also find in bigger cities. But it still had the feel of a seaside tourist resort. The weather is prefect year round. Temperatures mid to late 20s at night were the lowest and only early 30's maximum high during the day. People are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed

Liked the spa bath and the marina view from the upper floor. I was surprised to be asked for a deposit bond equal to the room charge I already paid. This was not mentioned anywhere when I booked and not asked by any other accommodation provider during our week long journey.
